2008 New Year’s Eve Party in Belgrade
„Be with everyone at city squares“
The new 2008 was celebrated in Belgrade’s streets, clubs and restaurants with music, fireworks and champagne... A lot of songs, dancing hugs, kisses...
Tens of hundreds of Belgraders took part in the New Year’s Eve Party at the plateau in front of Serbian National Assembly, listening to Vlado Georgijev and Niggor. And Bajaga and „Instruktori“ performed a concert at the Square of the Republic.
This year’s party was opened by the MTV Best Adriatic Act Award winner „Van Gogh“. Vlado Georgijev, „Flamingosi“ and Haris Dzinovic followed. Actress Mirjana Karanovic wished Belgraders and their guests a happy New Year 2008.
The legendary „Stereo MC’s“ performed at the Square when Rob Birch - at 4 degrees Celsius - showed that he is still able to make a good atmosphere, and also that he, being accustomed to the positive energy, expect nothing less from his audeince in return. The temperature was increasing while he was singing “Can you feel it”… We have come from Brixton in London to cross the bridge between 2007 and 2008 together with you!
And then - a question: “Do you believe in love? I do and I believe in music too!”
Good atmosphere was heated up by Bajaga continuing the concert with his hit “Verujem, ne verujem”. It was becoming hotter and hotter while he was singing ”Godine prolaze nervoznim korakom”. The countdown followed… and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Armand van Helden, one of the most popular DJs had a performance in EXPO Center in Novi Beograd, where the atmosphere was also great. People were celebrating in restaurants on rafts, hotels, homes, restaurants…
Traditionally, on 1 January in the Open Heart Street (from Takovska Street to Dom Omladine Center) an entertaining program was held in which jugglers, magicians and singers took part.
Let this 2008 be a good year!
