5th International Pancevo Carnival

Pancevo EUROPEAN CARNIVAL CITY!
Pancevo carnival officially starts on the 20th of June, when city mayor’s keys are handed over to the carnival’s maestro, which holds a symbolic meaning of allowing carnival participants to rule the city streets during the whole event.
Climax of the carnival is marked by THE BIG INTERNATIONAL CARNIVAL PARADE that will take place on the 21st of JUNE 2008, starting at 8 pm. Pancevo’s main street will serve as the carnival’s central route expected to be filled with more than 3000 participants and carnival troops from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Italy and Brazil...
The carnival of Pancevo is of urban character, composed of grand street events. As morning hours approach, street performances, concerts on 3 different stages, carnival DJ party, spectacular fireworks will all culminate into a wild celebration. The International Pancevo Carnival will be witnessed by some 100.000 visitors.
