Novi Sad Jazz Festival 2007
The 9th Novi Sad Jazz Festival will take place from 14 to 17 of November 2007 in the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad.
The producer of the Festival is Novi Sad Cultural Centre and its specific quality is that it mostly presents author music.
It is an international festival with a main program where many ensembles and musicians from Europe and the USA have performed in the last eight years. Almost all eminent musicians of older, middle and younger generation from our region, who are also welcomed to participate in many jazz scenes in Europe and the world, have taken part in this festival as well.
About 120 ensembles from our country and abroad countries, which makes a total of 600 musicians, have performed this year. Among those were: Jimmy Cobb, Eddie Henderson, Benny Bailey, Andy Bay, Al Foster, Keith Copeland, Tania Maria, Trilok Gurtu, Steve Coleman, Renato Chicco, Miles Griffith, Tony Pancella, Meg Okura, Al Di Meloa, Kenny Garrett, Richard Bona and others.
In this year’s Novi Sad Jazz Festival Magnus Mehl Quintet, Roy Haynes’s Quartet and Zvonimir Tot Trio will perform in the first evening within the main program. Boi Akih Trio, Rony Cuber Band and Toots Thielemans Quartet are due to perform in the second evening. Karlheinz Miklin Trio, Adam Klemm Banda and Duško Gojkovic Quintet will have their concerts on 16 November. On the last day of the main program Manuel Dunkel Quartet, deborah Brown & Matosic Trio and the famous funk jazz saxophonist Maceo Parker will perform their music.

Tickets, at the price of 700 dinars per evening or the whole set at 2200 dinars, can be bought at the Novi Sad Cultural Centre box office from 11 am to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 10 pm. During the festival, tickets will be sold at the Serbian National Theatre box office.
