Lenny Kravitz is an American singer-songwriter, record producer and arranger whose career took off in 1989. Ever since then, he has recorder 9 albums, 5 of which were certified as platinum.
The 9th album, It is Time for a Love Revolution, was released in February this year, while singles Bring It On and I'll Be Waiting were launched previously, in October, 2007.
His famous ‘retro’ style is a fusion of rock, hard rock, soul, funk and reggae. Kravitz discovered his extraordinary talent while playing drums at the age of 5, and continued developing it by playing guitar. Today, the list of instruments he mastered includes piano, bass guitar, and accordion, and he often records his own music.
He released about 40 singles, many of which, such as It Ain't Over 'Till It's Over, Are You Gonna Go My Way, I Belong To You, Fly Away, Where Are We Runnin'... were placed highly in popular music charts.
He worked with Madonna, Vanessa Paradis, Aerosmith, Mick Jagger and other icons of contemporary music industry, while some of his songs were incorporated into soundtrack albums of popular movies such as Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Bad Boys II.
His career was marked by many awards. He won the Grammy Award for "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" four years in a row from 1999 to 2002. Numerous MTV and BRIT awards, as well as a medal he received in 1998, should also be mentioned.
