Tourism Fair in Novi Sad
Tourism Fair and religious tourism
Anniversary Fair
It is the 40th anniversary of the Tourist Fair this year. Although its success has varied during last decades, the fair has always followed the trends in tourist offer. This year’s festival is all about presenting traditional winter and summer tourist arrangements, with some specific features. For the first time the Skiing Association of Serbia has presented the complete tourist offer of ski centers in our country.
Under the slogan “Follow the navigation”, this year’s Tourism Fair will be significantly expanded with a large number of new exhibitors from Serbia and the region.
The first day of the fair is traditionally dedicated to spas and climate destinations, which are the greatest tourist representatives of our country and tourists from abroad are becoming increasingly interested in them. Spa and Climate destinations Association, as a joint association of almost all spas and climate destinations in Serbia plays an important role in this year’s fair organization.
The Association will present 31 spas, 4 mountain centers, 13 tourist organizations, 7 hotel companies, 3 villas and room and boards. The whole area where the Association will have its exhibition will be specially designed. It will contain a so called ‘Wellness Square’, at its centre with miniature Vrnjci Spa park. The visitors will be able to get information on prices for winter arrangements, New Year holidays and winter school holidays. There will be a discount for all arrangements made during the Fair.
Apart from spas and mountain centers, cultural, historical and manifestation potentials will be presented, along with rural tourism potentials.
The fair anniversary will be marked by promotion of religious and pilgrimage tourism by presenting five largest religious confessions in Serbia.
Serbian Orthodox Church, Catholic Church, Slovak Evangelist Church, Jewish and Muslim churches will present the beauty of sacral objects, icon painting, religious books and related attractions in Hall 7. Individual and group visits to monasteries that are not regular tourist destinations will be also offered.
