Caesaria Evora, the legendary world music singer will perform before Novi Sad audience.
Coming fom Cape Verde, Caesaria presented the heritage of her exotic homeland to the world when she was already 50 years old. She has been performing in a bar for a long time, imagining sometimes what it would be like if she presented her music outside her country.
She recorded her first album "La Diva Aux Pieds Nus" in 1988, when she was 47, in Paris. What followed were a great discography and many astonishing performances. On American tour, famous celebrities such as Madonna, David Byrne and Brandford Marsalis have expressed their admiration.
Bare-footed diva, called that way because of her bare-footed stage entering, with her music also tries to attract the attention of people to a rather sad position of women and children in her country.
