Ribarska spa

Ribarska spa is an oasis of fresh mountain air, healthy food, medical springs. It is situated 540 meters above the sea level, at the slopes of the Veliki Jastrebac mountain. There are 6 mineral springs in Ribarska spa whose temperature ranges from 38°C to 42°C. and, because of thick forests and fresh air, it is a climate location. Medical treatments can done in the Special Hospital “Ribarska Banja”. Apart from them, many visitors come to recharge their batteries with positive energy. There are a bank, post office, pharmacy, supermarkets, congress hall, library, kiosks within Ribarska Banja complex.

A rich cultural and artistic program “Kulturno leto u Ribarskoj Banji” is widely known. Cultural and artistic companies from Serbia and abroad perform at an indoor and outdoor stages. The following events also take place: theatre plays of professional and amateur companies, literary meetings, popular and ethno music festivals, traditional food festivals, old crafts and music festivals, art exhibitions and colonies.

Interesting facts:

Archaeological remains shows that paleolithic people performed their ritual healings there. In 12th century, Stefan Nemanja got Ribarska Banja as a present for his 18th birthday. Princess Milica often used the benefits of the spa water. King Peter I Karadjordjevic was the most loyal visitor and a patient. He always used to stay at the first floor of villa “Serbia”.
