Subotica is the second largest city in Vojvodina and the center of its northern region. It is situated in the far end of Backa region, next to the border with Hungary on international road E-75 and railway itinerary which connects the Balkans with east and west Europe.
It will charm you with the diversity of its architectural styles from gothic, secession and neoclasicism. Subotica was declared "Free Royal City" in 1779.

Palic Lake - The most beautiful lake in Vojvodina with a complex of arranged promenades, a zoo, good hotels and restaurants where visitors can taste traditional dishes from Vojvodina with a strong Hungarian influence. Visitors can also enjoy horse-back riding, sailing, biking and coach rides through the old wood.
