Skiing at Stara Planina

Stara Planina is the highest mountain in the eastern Serbia situated 2169 m above the sea level. It is a natural border towards Bulgaria. Fascinating beauty of untouched nature makes Stara Planina the most beautiful mountain of the eastern Serbia and one of the most beautiful tourist destinations. It is of great importance in the first category of natural beauties.

Babin Zub is a protected natural preserve. Being situated 2169 metres above the sea level, it is one of the most beautiful landscapes of Stara Planina. Striking cliffs of Babin Zub end up southwest from the Midzor peak (2169 m), the highest peak of Stara Planina and of Serbia.

Stara planina, covered with snow for almost five months a year on the height between 1100 and 1900 metres above the sea level, is an ideal place for winter sports. The Babin Zub ski centre has ski tracks “Konjarnik”, “Suncana Dolina” and “Markova Livada” the last of which is well-lit for night skiing.The newly-built four seat ski lift “Konjarnik” has a moving line for boarding skiers with 1500 skiers per hour capacity. Apart from that the “anchor” ski lift “Suncana Dolina” has 1200 skiers per hour capacity and a baby ski lift “Markova Dolina”.

Ski pass: 550 dinars during daytime and 300 dinars for children.
